Tips for Making the Most of your Bathroom Storage

BathroomBathrooms are almost inherently small spaces. They tend to be one of the least visible spaces in your home, and sometimes they’re practically relegated to a closet. That, however, doesn’t mean that they can’t look great, and it doesn’t mean that they can’t be functional. There is a multitude of ways you can make your space more functional, which is something that we will definitely be covered in multiple future blogs. Today, however, we’re going to be focusing on bathroom storage, and most importantly, how you can make it more effective.

So, what does that mean exactly? Well, first of all, because you are working with limited space, storage is going to be an issue as you need to find the right size cabinets, and most importantly, you need to make sure that they are going to meet your needs. If you walk into the average bathroom in the average home, you’ll see poorly placed linen cabinets, often too large for the environment that they have been placed in. This is not only awkward looking, it is highly inconvenient. Let’s talk about how you can make the most out of your storage, and build a better aesthetic for your bathroom in the process.

Choosing the Right Size Cabinets for your Bathroom

When you’re limited on space, we cannot recommend enough going with the minimalist approach. Our Aquamoon Glacier, for example, is one of the most popular, and it’s great if you’re using a single bathroom by yourself. It features four equally sized shelves, ensuring that you can store your towels, washrags, and other important linens along with your various toiletries.

If you need more options than just the four shelves offered by the Glacier, then you’ll probably like what the Vance has to offer. This is another low profile linen cabinet that features a more muted color scheme, which is outstanding if you’re trying to vary your colors up a little bit to create contrast. Along with being a different color, however, this brings far more to the table, namely the set of drawers beneath the main cabinet which expands your storage options considerably.

Finally, if you’re a bit limited on space, then the Venice might be what you’re looking for. It’s a bit smaller, which you’ll recognize immediately, and it is often thought to be more of an add-on unit. Still, you can mount this to the wall, and it’s a great space saver. Think of it as an expansion to your vanity, if you’d like, and it’s a great way to store extra toiletries.

Making the Most of the Space

When you have limited space, you have a few options you can try to really make the most of it. One option would be to make sure that the linen cabinets are set into the walls so that you have more room to maneuver while you’re there. The same can be done with your medicine cabinets, and we have quite a few in our inventory that will make your bathroom look incredible.

Other options for taking advantage of your space would be to try adding two more linen cabinets to your bathroom. The Vance and its identical lines are low profile, meaning you’ll be able to install them quite easily and still take advantage of a plethora of space within your bathroom area.

Think About Color

You have plenty of choices to consider when it comes to your bathroom cabinetry, but it also comes down to the color. The Aquamoon Vance, as one example, provides that more muted color experience, while there is another version that comes in more of a walnut color. Both of these sway more toward the modern look, leaving the trappings of the contemporary lifestyle behind completely, but walnut does help to bring out at least a small, tiny hint of the rustic life. That’s great if it’s what you’re looking for.

Beyond the Linen Cabinet

Bathroom storage isn’t all about linen cabinets, you’ll want to install a medicine cabinet and other storage options. For more information, make sure you take a look at what we have to offer and start planning your ultimate bathroom renovation right now.
